this permissive footpath has been created under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme. You are invited to walk alongside the field boundaries to the beach. The access takes you past a nuclear bunker, World War 1 & 2 outposts & ends at Withow Gap where you can see the remains of an ancient mere or lake in the cliff face.
During your walk you may see lapwing & skylarks among many of the farmland birds that live on the farm.
In the summer months the young cows or heifers graze the fields.
Care does need to be taken whilst walking along the clifftop or beach as this is not part of the walk, and at times due to coastal erosion special care will need to be taken on walking down onto the beach.
When walking can we ask that you follow the Countryside Code & keep your dog under control & on the lead at all times. Can we also ask that you clear up after your dog & a bin for the depositing of doggy bags can be found in the car park.
